Beer & Cider List

Explore over 100 real ales, featuring a diverse range of types and styles from breweries both near and far, new and established, small and large. Some of these exceptional beers will be available in traditional wooden casks for a unique tasting experience. To ensure you enjoy every sip, all casks are kept under cooling from delivery and are only served at their peak condition. Understanding that you might want to sample a variety of beers during your visit, we offer half and third pint measures, perfect for trying multiple brews without committing to a full pint.

Champion Beer of Britain Award

The Kelham Hall Beer and Cider Festival this October will host the prestigious Champion Beer of Britain judging event. This renowned competition brings together the finest beers from across the nation, evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness the selection of Britain's top beer, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and brewing excellence. This event promises to be a highlight of the festival, celebrating the very best in British brewing.

Getting Here

The event takes place at the Renaissance at Kelham Hall, a 19th Century Stately Home, in the heart of Nottinghamshire. Please see below a full address of the location as well as best ways to get here.

By Bus

A complimentary free bus shuttle will run from both Newark Castle and Newark Northgate railway station to the Kelham Hall Beer and Cider Festival. These shuttles will run on a loop from 11:30am until 11:15pm (Wednesday and Friday) and 11:30am until 10:45pm (Saturday). Please note there will a limited number of coaches running at the same time. Please look out for the pickup location at the stations which will be sign posted. Stagecoach service 28 & 29 buses run from Newark Bus Station to Kelham, Newark. There is plenty of FREE parking on site. Please do not use residents’ parking spaces in and around Kelham.

FAQs

Are there any discounts for CAMRA members?

Yes, Weekend Tickets are just £7 for CAMRA members

Are children allowed to attend the festival?

Yes, there will be entertainment throughout the day for children. Under 18s are allowed to attend the Festival until 5pm on each day. After 5pm the event is strictly over 18s only. There is no charge for children to attend.

Are dogs allowed to attend the festival?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed across the event site, including camping.

Do you operate a cash bar or token system?

We operate a token system. These can be bought upon entry to the Festival and the bar servers will then mark off the cost of each drink as it is purchased. The tokens cannot be used at the catering outlets. No token refunds will be given after time is called.

Will there be bag searches?

Yes, we will be conducting bag searches at the entrance to the festival.

What is the ticket refund policy?

Unfortunately no refunds can be issued on advanced tickets.

Will there be water at the bars to rinse my glass out?

There will be various water points throughout the festival situated at the front of the bars for you to clean your glass and have a drink of water. If you’re not sure where your nearest water point is then please ask at a bar.

Is the festival open to the public on Wednesday 23rd October?

The festival’s Trade Session takes place on Wednesday 23rd October 12pm till 5pm and is for Camra members and trade only. The festival will be open to the general public on the Wednesday 23rd October 5pm until 10pm, and then all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Please check out our 'Whats on', for more details
